Croft circuit in North Yorkshire has been a successful hunting ground for SEAT Sport UK, with four wins in three years and 11 podiums out of a possible 21. With Rounds 10, 11 and 12 of the BTCC there this Sunday (3rd June), the team is aiming to continue its great record at the venue.

Having lived in the North East for most of his childhood, Jason Plato considers Croft his home circuit. His team-mate, Darren Turner, had the biggest accident of his racing career at Croft in 1997 and hasn't raced there since 1998 - but he returns intent on scoring his first BTCC win.

In the Blaupunkt SEAT Cupra Championship, expect James Pickford's lap record at Croft to be broken. Set in 2004, the 1:30.956 (84.18mph) time is likely to be smashed by the New Leon Cupras, as the likes of Jonathan Adam, Carl Breeze, Alan Blencowe and Fulvio Mussi go head-to-head. In the Leon Cupra R Class, Freddy Nordstrom and Harry Vaulkhard are tied for the lead, with Ian Churchill and Mike Doble in hot pursuit.

In the WTCC, SEAT Sport driver Yvan Muller knows Pau better than any of his rivals, so he will be aiming for victory this weekend when the series heads to the historic French street circuit. Team-mates Gabriele Tarquini, Jordi Gené and Tiago Monteiro have all raced there too, but it will be all new for Mexican driver Michel Jourdain Jr.
