well hello folks, bought a old mk3 polo coupe off a mate the other week and i am generally pretty good when it comes to fitting headunits etc, trouble is i am in no way electrically minded and i no that the headunit is in working order so its the wiring thats not working.
Would anybody be able to give me a hand in trying to sort it out as i have little intention of driving all the way to ed38 with no music.
Please help Barney

either me or rob should be able to have a look mate.
as a quick check, you had a look at the fuses? also if its a unit you fitted have you swapped the red and the yellow wires over? or tried putting them both into yellow?
If you struggle and need a sparky to sort it, call Mark on 07775677411 (my other half).
well cheers for the reply folks.
got the headunit from a bloke at work, it came from a scrap car so we tried it in mine and it didnt work, put it in his car and worked fine so i am puzzled.
checked all fuses and relays, all seam to be okay
The wiring may be diferent on the harness for your car compaired to your mates. By that i mean the leads being in diferent positions on the harness to what you car harness has.
What make is it?

The polo should have a normal iso connector but the ignition and live power will be the wrong way round. Although it would be worth getting a multimeter on it and checking.
You coming on thursday to the meet?
yeah i will be there thursday mate, got the correct iso lead for it mate..
