you are not committing to anything by putting your name down now, i just need a list of names to get an approx. idea on numbers.

We will have a clubstand both Saturday and Sunday:) Camping is available all weekend, Fri-Sunday.

Please indicate which day or days you are planning to attend and if you will be camping or not.

i think we will be up for this Paul! And i recon we will be in the hotel- altho we can always spend one night kipping in one of the tents ;)! Did we travel down on the saturday lunchtime last time for sunday show? I think thats probably what we will do, unless the boss says any different ;) but put us down anyway Paul. This was THE best show last year! And this is what made Rob want to sell his Leon and get the rado :) 3 weeks later (or something like that) he had sold the Leon :(

That won't do much good though, cos I'll be on my own airbed that's special and un-puncturable :p

I think it was drinking Cider that was the problem - too many bubbles. Just made me cold and full before I had a chance to get my alcohol jacket on. I will be on straight spirits this year and nicely tiddled so I don't feel the cold :D

Hahahaha no camping for me this year, the call of a clean hot shower and sterile toilets will mean i'm camping in the house. However i'll be there on the sunday most likely although not sure which club i'll be with - will make sure i pop and say hi either way :) I think this also means i won't be able to use my custom beer chiller either :(

Hiya mate, i will organise convoys/meet points nearer the time.

Most of us camping will have booked the day off Friday(inc. myself) so we will convoy/meet up friday afternoon. Last year we all met up at a services about 20mins from the show, then convoyed in together, probably do a similar thing again, with a convoy from the bristol area friday afternoon for those in the S.W.

Rob, chris and co who are staying in the hotel will be convoying up to, but evening time again i'd imagine.

If anyone is working etc friday and can;t get their 'til later that is not a problem, you can just meet us at the show, and will we keep space for u:)

I will PM everyone nearer the time all the details:)

Hey All! Any one who wants to book a room for the weekend the travel lodge we will be using is the Northampton one - Upto Way. I think rooms are £50 per night and the plan is to stay Friday and Saturday night and get drunk like last time after a lush meal from TGI Fridays- and obviously it being Tuvs birthday again will mean loads of fun :) If anyone needs to share a room i think Chris has a spare place in their room so ask him as will make it cheaper. Haven't been to this before but went to VW Action at Santa Pod last year, stayed in a tent and it was the best weekend I've had in a long time! Hope this one will be just as good if not better! :D

plenty of the europeans dress up anyway the whole weekend is like a long party nothing else like it over here the first time I went with a few mates we went for just the saturday day got there and thought lets camp so drove back to brum got a gazebo with mesh sides and slept in that was such a laugh

Just so you know, we'll be heading up Saturday, not sure if we'll be there early enough to be on the stand Saturday, but we'll try - I guess it comes down to how busy it is. Last year you could move between stands without a problem so fingers crossed.

Hi Kaz, thats not a problem, if you arrive later on Saturday. we'll still try and squeeze you on the stand, shouldn't be to much of a problem(hopefully) although i do expect it to be bigger and busier this year.

All i would say is, i personally cant guarantee you will definately get on if you arrive later on, but as long as your cool with that. We'll do all we can to get you on their if you are later, but that might be out of our hands. (eg if they stop allowing cars through to the show area)

The reason we are meeting at 8am is so we get a good club stand spot, and not stuck at the bottom of the field:)

yep thats about right mate, and yeah you can leave the site, you have your pass thats all that matters!! Your pass is the same as the people staying in the hotel who will be coming back and forth

Yes you can go on and off site pretty much whenever you want, upto midnight. When you arrive, you will be given a wrist band to wear all weekend, this will be your pass in and out of the show:)

There is a tesco's nearby as well as a petrol station basically just across from the show.

Never been to Ed38 before, is it the kind of show that it would be suitable to bring a 10 year old to? I'm thinking of bringing my son & camping Sat night.

There is usually a 'family quiet camping area' but to be honest don't expect much sleep, the site is noisey most of the night!

As mentioned, unless your son likes cars there isn't much layed on for kids unfortunately tbh.

If you do decide to come, you and your son are more than welcome to join us and camp with us:)

E38 Getting closer and closer:D

Here is a reminder of the prices, times etc to help plan your weekend/day at the event.


Date: 29-31 August

Venue: Overstone Park, Northampton, NN6 0AB.

Entry/admission:
Weekend ticket = £25
Sat+Sun = £20
Sunday only = £10.
*Pay at Gate only, no pre-paid tickets*

You can attend all weekend, Saturday and/or Sunday, but please let me know what you are planning to do!

Time: Those not camping on site need to be at the show by 8AM! on Saturday + Sunday. When you arrive please ring me, or head to the campsite in your car and find the rest of us. We need to all go over to the club stand area together.

Camping/accomadation:
Camping is available on site all weekend, no extra charge, your £25 or £20 entry includes your show entry and camping.
Toilet, shower and food facilities are available onsite, you can also go on/off site should you need to stock up on food, beer etc...

I will be camping on site all weekend, Please let me know if you are also planning to camp, if you haven't already.
I will then make arrangements nearer the time for those of us camping to meet up and set our tents up together etc. I am planning to arrive at the showground approx 3-4pm

Hotel: If campings not for you Rob, sally, chris and a few others will be staying in a Travel Lodge Hotel.

Convoys
I am planning to leave Bristol on Friday approx 12-1pm to arrive at the show approx 3-4pm. If anyone wants to convoy up from Bristol area with me please let me know.
I know some of you will have work and over commitments and may not be able to make the convoy or meet at the show between 3-4pm and will be arrving later on, that is fine, we will keep you space.

Rob will also no doubt be organising a convo from Bristol area aswell on Friday probably abit later on, for those staying in the hotel.

Any Problems or questions please let me know, i know some of you haven't been to this Show before.

Look out! The mongrel may yet make an appearance at this! I'm in Bristol on a very sudden "oh s**t it's started already!" course next week, so I'm contemplating packing enough for SEVEN nights and heading up to Northants on the friday afternoon, instead of back to Devon.

Myself, Dave, Neal (and anyone else who'd like to join us) are convoying up from Bristol between 12-1pm, Vicki, Mk2, Stealth etc are convoying up from Bridgwater area friday to, but probably alittle bit later.
And Rob as mentioned is meeting at 6pm.

We will keep space for any other campers arriving later, arriving when its dark isnt a problem, we can use torches and the car headlights to help you with your tent, we did this last year when Bez arrived late.

I think I'll be leaving my gazebo at home then.... Sounds like we could probably make a 6 metre by 6 metre gazebo using the 3 attached together strategically. :D

For the record, I am definitely coming now. Tent is in the kitchen ready to go in the car.... Only wish I didn't have a day in Reading/4 days in Bristol leading up to it.

Oh, and another thing, I'm being easy on the beers too.... Had a pretty rough weekend and feel I need a detox (or at least a rationing) to get myself back on the straight and narrow again.
