Early March 2008. UK is being pelted with storms, it's 6pm, and Mark AKA Albino and his freshly finished 300bhp eaton charged ABF - known as 'WRP' have to be in surrey by midday tomorrow for the PVW photoshoot. No big deal apart from the fact the car has to be fully detailed before it goes, and as it's being shot in an all-white studio, it has to be clean when it's there!
No before photos as it was raining and getting dark when we started, and we wanted to get it washed and inside as soon as possible! (but here's one from the meet a few weeks before!)

Process was a foam pre-rinse via the gilmour, wheels and arches cleaned with meguiars APC, car washed with a wool mitt and Megs shampoo+ using two bucket method. Car was then brought inside and dried off with Last Touch and a Sonus waffleweave towel - no claying required as the car was fresh out of having a full respray. With time ticking Mark started on the wheels while I looked at the paint.
The Polished lips were buffed with Meguiars NXT metal polysh to remove water spotting, and each wheel was given a coat of Chemical Guys Wheel Guard to give it some protection:

On to the paint - as you'll know if you read the mag, the car had been fully resprayed, and despite quite a few problems with the painter (delays, more delays and bits going missing!) the Alpine White paint was in pretty good order, with minimal body defects, but a dull finish - evidently from bodyshop rotary.

And after a hit with Menzerna Final Finish 85RD via PC on a Menzerna Polishing pad - yellowing and haze eliminated

This combo was ideal on the new paint, and every panel got a hit. Some 50/50 shots
