AUDI TDI query

Just wondering, my dads looking at an A4 TDI 110, 97 model and wondering if its a timing chain or cambelt, if its the latter what intervals ae advisable on changing them.

One other thing, what would a remap get out of it??

They're belts, but I'm not sure what the interval is, probably 60k.

We can remap them, 148BHP and 238lb/ft from the 110's.

Sweet, how much would i be looking at paying for that?? Also what would that do for the econemy, as the father is quite big on saving fuel lol

We generally find economy increases with a 'performance' map, but we could also do an economy focused map if that's what your dads after.
