No idea if anyone will know the answer but thought i would try.
My engine light has been on for around 6 weeks, (i know should have got it looked at) but the car seemed ok so was going to get it VAGcom'd at the meet hopefully.
On Saturday i had to drive to Truro, on the way back i noticed the Light was no longer on. The light still illuminates when you turn the ignition on, but the turns off as normal when the car starts up. Is it possible for the car to reset the ECU if the fault cures itself???? i think the car is actually running worse now it has gone off though, so i think i will still need it VAGcom'd but will any faults show up now the fault light doesnt come on.
Any help would be great
